The home is included in the book "An Architectural History of Harford County, Maryland" by Christopher Weeks, published by the Johns Hopkins University Press, copyright 1996. The home is further identified as Number HA-534 and 535 among the Maryland Historical Trust Inventory for State Historic Sites. There are plaster walls and ceilings throughout the home which are nearly original or from renovations within the latter part of the 20th century. The Floor Plan is understood to be original, with the exception of the removal of an enclosed rear stairway and the removal of a divider wall between the front and rear rooms on the west side of the house. The 12" deep window wells, wrought iron interior door hardware, molding and plaster are understood to be original. In addition to the stone home, there is a circa early 19th C. stone bank barn on the property.
